Gethin Jenkins Testimonial Year

Genero proud to support Welsh Rugby legend’s year of events

CARDIFF February 2016  Wales V England was kicked off in spectacular style last night as crowds gathered for the Six Nations Preview Dinner at Cardiff Arms Park in aid of the Gethin Jenkins Testimonial Year.

Following on from successful fundraisers at The Gherkin and Beddau RFC and the year’s official launch at the Principality Stadium, Genero were proud to support this event as part of our commitment to support the year.

The four-hundred strong crowd enjoyed a Q&A with the man himself and the lively discussion between Rob Howley and Eddie Jones provided some excellent insight into what to expect of this weekends’ match and the characters leading the teams, all presided over but the irrepressible John Inverdale.

A striking custom-built stage-set enabled the packed room full view of the hosts and speaker panel on stage; alongside full presentation and AV content, displayed on two large projection screens.

Rhys Blumberg, Sales and Marketing Director of Genero, also sits on the testimonial year committee commented ‘I’m proud to be able to support Gethin’s testimonial as a committee member and through the Genero team’s hard work.  Gethin is amazing ambassador for his sport and country and we all with him the best for a successful year.

The testimonial, granted by both the WRU and Cardiff Blues is in support of NSPCC Wales and Stay Strong for Ows, who were both in attendance.

Tom Shankiln, Genero ambassador and ex-Wales team mate says ‘Testimonial years are not for the feint hearted; you need a strong team around you.  It gives the team at Genero great pleasure to support what I’m sure will be a record breaking year for a true rugby legend.
